Onset of Hooping Addiction

I've been dreaming of learning to hoop since I attended NW String Summit this year and watched tons of beautiful women hooping to the bluegrass beats. They were so amazing to watch especially once it got dark outside and out came the LED lighted hoops. Something about the way hoopers move just really highlights the beauty of the female body and I wanted to be part of that!

So I bought the most basic (and CHEAPEST) beginners hoop I could find on Etsy at Rainbowfrogs77. Their "Naked Collapsible Infinity Hoop" comes in 2 tubing options and you can choose the diameter for only $9.99! Definitely the best deal I could find AND it shipped in only 2 days. I love it. Perfect weight and since I'm a beginner and dropping the hoop all the time, not having fancy tape to mess up makes me feel better.

And for the past two days I've been scouring YouTube for the best beginners hooping tutorials. Thankfully there are beyond plenty, although my favorites can be found on Hoopsmiles channel. His videos are well filmed, short, sweet, and easy to follow along with.

By far the best resource for really any hooper is Hooping.org. They've got tutorial videos, inspiration videos, supply resources, troupe and group information, and any hooping news you could possibly want to know. Check it out and I hope you enjoy your new hooping addiction as much as I am!
