Le Blog De Betty

Betty is so so cute! Most of her blog Le Blog De Betty is in French so it's not the text that matters exactly. But the images...oh la la. Her style is so inspirational especially the way she works with layers. Her outfits are something I could copy myself with pieces I own. (I'm honestly the worst layerer EVER)
I hate it when a style blog just has pieces that are beautiful and I could never afford or find. It's much more appropriate to find a blog that teaches you something.

So here are a few of her outfits I found most inspirational for you to check out! Au Revoir!

Sarah Palin, Katie Couric, & SNL Comparisons

I seriously can't believe how amazing Tina Fey is at impersonating Sarah Palin! She's hilarious...although so is Sarah P. herself in my opinion. I thought I would provide both the SNL Katie Couric interview and the actual interview that took place on the 24th....you'll find the SNL version surprising accurate. Some of it's even word for word...which makes me  sad for America.

The Drawing Room: Thank You A. Kawasaki

Many thanks to Audrey Kawasaki for posting an easy to use guide to the most up and coming pop surrealist artists today. Although she didn't intend the post to be anything but a sample serving of the new gallery show The Drawing Room (unfortunately in CA...i'm bitter), she successfully made my day by introducing me to some new artist blogs to enjoy each morning. Yay!

And just in case you're too lazy to take a look....here's my new favorites...or at least those I haven't yet blogged about:

Catherine Cambell blog: my folk lover

Amy Earles blog: Wool & Water
ughhhhhhhhhh I love her little paperdolls! Buy them in her Etsy store

Actor Timeline: The Fonda Family- Henry, Peter, & Jane

The Fonda Family...it's just so incredible that three brilliant actors came out of one family...well Jane wasn't really that great...but Barbarella makes up for that. They all made completely different films, were completely different actors, and lived in completely different times. I would love to know what their family holidays were like.

Henry Fonda (my first Fonda love)

12 Angry Men (1957)

The Lady Eve (1941)

Peter Fonda (1960's drug advocate)

Easy Rider (1969)

The Trip (1967)

Jane Fonda (so sexy)

Barbarella (1968)

Etsy Find: Mint Conspiracy & Softlife & Zygopsyche

I've recently fallen in love with soft little squishy plushies. Yay! They make great gifts for birthdays, holidays and other such festivities that merit presents. Lots of homemade lovin' and in addition to that each creature has it's own unique personality.

Check out Mint Conspiracy's cute cute cute little monsters and Somethings who sort of My Neighbor Totoro-ish.

Also, Softlife has super unique little creatures that each inspire photo stories blog, some a little morbid, some so simple and cute,
and all hilariously loaded with the sort of dry humor I love.

I miss my kitty...all soft and fluffy...suffocating me with his obesity and overwhelming fluff. Zygopsyche's cuddly bunnies and guinea pigs make me happy though. I can at least pretend they are Vinny.

Etsy Find: Wall Vinyl Decals

Sorry I haven't been updating my blog lately...I've been in the process of moving and of course decorating, which ends up taking the most time of course!

But I thought I would take the time to share with you my latest obsession: VINYL DECALS!!

The best ones on the web in my opinion are found on Etsy, which by now you probably all know by now is a much loved site of mine. Here's the one I  bought for my place. Only $8!! I thought it was just too cute and unique to pass up. But not to load up on too many though...otherwise your pad will become sticker heaven....

Here's a few others I considered...

Found at TastySuite

Found at Holly's Shop

Found at Sweetnothing

Found at Scribbleit

Of course there are SO many other amazing decals...a lot out of my price range though. But if you have more to spend, be prepared for even more amazing goodies.
