Maru Getting Into Trouble Once Again

Seriously Maru is the most entertaining cat EVER. He's just so fat and round and curious I can't stand it! It's almost like it's a scripted comedy show or something....Maru has perfect comedic timing don't you think? Another note: How the heck does he jump like that?!
Check out his blog here or my past Maru post here.

I Never Want To Leave The World of Michael Parkes

Alright...get ready for a long post of images. I've fallen in love with the world of Michael Parkes. I really don't even know what to say about his art besides that I kept saving image after image to prepare for this post and pretty much ended up saving every other illustration I found...I assume that's all you really need to know.
If you love the Art Deco and Surrealism movements or mythology he's your guy.

The Cute Show!

I love kitties...the fatter and fluffier the better in my opinion....The Cute Show is my kind of show. Check it out if "cute" is the most used word in your vocabulary.

I found this video via Sticky Kitten. A cutesy blog about all things sweet and baby, highly recommended.

Cooper Kitty Camera!

Best idea ever! Cooper the Cat of the Greenwood neighborhood in Seattle has been rigged with a camouflaged kitty camera that automatically take a picture every two minutes!
Through his Flickr account you can view life through Cooper's eyes. Cooper spends his time watching his owners, looking at the sky, and checking out home security signs.
It's a beautiful thing.
He's even appearing on Animal Planet tonight!

Water For Elephants

“I remember, when I was a child, being taken to the celebrated Barnum's circus, which contained an exhibition of freaks and monstrosities, but the exhibit . . . which I most desired to see was the one described as 'The Boneless Wonder'.”

~ Winston Churchill

I just finished reading the book Water For Elephants by Sara Gruen. It's sort of a behind the scenes look at a 1930's circus and all the politics and struggles of workers and performers living a traveling gypsies life.
I've never spent a lot of time thinking about the circ
us. It's not something that we ever experience in our modern age. At least nothing like how it used to be, where the circus coming to town was the main event. Reading about all the animal abuse was hard to get through but there are many tender moments as well that almost make up for it. Times were tough in the 1930's and just reading about how these people survived makes me so grateful to live how I do.
Please please read this book! I gained so much unusual knowledge that I'm sure will make an interesting conversation starter or something along those lines. Enjoi!

Bunnies

I don't even know where this post came from honestly. But here it is....those of you afraid of amazingly cute things beware....bunnies, easily confused with kitties, are too cute not to dedicate a post to. Don't you agree?
